I was also able to visit the Garden of Gethsemane on Saturday after church. It was really peaceful and beautiful. Inside the church on the site, everyone had to be in complete silence. I was nice to be somewhere where there was no noise. I had the music from "The Garden" stuck in my head the whole time I was there. It was an amazing feeling to be somewhere we KNOW Jesus was, where the most important thing in all of creation occurred.
Wishing I was there! Is it really that dead tourist-wise or are you just lucky with pictures? I imagined it being way more crowded everywhere. Maybe it's not the tourist season, yet. Easter should be packed, I expect!
ReplyDeleteIt depends on how you take the picture and the time of day you go. We usually end up going places in the morning, when things aren't as busy!
